Prodigy not working? Start with the two guides in this section: login and app fixes, and password recovery. Most problems are fixed in a few minutes by working through the steps in order.
Guides in this section
- Prodigy not working: login and app problems. Wrong username or password, browser cache and updates, app updates and reinstalls, login loops, school device blocks, and locked accounts.
- Prodigy password reset and account recovery. Reset by email for teachers and parents, reset by teacher or parent for students, username recovery, and what to do when the reset email never arrives.

Before you contact support
Work through this checklist first. Check that you are on the right login page: students use play.prodigygame.com, teachers and parents use prodigygame.com. Check that caps lock is off and read your username back letter by letter. Clear your browser cache and cookies, or try a different browser. Test the same login on a second device: if it works there, the problem is the first device, not the account. Try the password reset steps. If the problem is on a school device only, ask your teacher to check with the school IT admin.
Still stuck
If nothing above helps, contact Prodigy support through the support portal on the official Prodigy site. Have these details ready: the username or email address on the account, the school or class for a student account, and a list of what you already tried. Prodigy will never ask for your password by email, so treat any message that does as suspicious. The login guides are in the Login and Accounts section, and the new player basics are in Start Here.
Frequently asked questions
I forgot everything, username and password. Where do I start?
Start with the password reset guide. A parent can find a child’s username under Manage Child on the Parent Dashboard, and a teacher can find student usernames on the class list.
The game loads on one device but not another. What does that mean?
It means the account is fine and the failing device is the problem. Clear cache and cookies on that device, update its browser or app, or try another browser on the same device.
How do I know if the problem is my school blocking Prodigy?
If Prodigy works at home but not at school, a school filter is the likely cause. Ask your teacher to check with the school IT admin.
