Start Here

Start here if Prodigy is new to you. Two guides cover everything you need to begin: what the game is, and how to play it. Read them in order, then follow the links to login, membership, and help guides when you need them.

Who should start here

Students who have never played should start with the “what is” guide, then the “how to play” guide, and then log in. Teachers who are new to Prodigy should read both guides to see what their students will experience, then open the login section to create a class. Parents should read both guides to understand the game before they create a parent account or decide about membership.

What to read next

Once you know what the game is and how to play, the next step depends on who you are. Students should open the Login and Accounts section to sign in or join with a class code. Parents who want to know the cost should open the Membership, Parents and Teachers section for the membership prices and the parent login guide. More guides on zones, quests, levels, and the parent dashboard follow in the next batches.

Frequently asked questions

Is Prodigy Math free?

Yes. The math questions and the core game are free. Membership is optional and only adds game extras such as extra pets and gear.

What grade is Prodigy Math for?

Grades 1 to 8. The questions follow the curriculum for each grade, and the game adapts to the level of the child playing.

Do I need a teacher to start?

No. You can play at home with a parent account. A teacher and a class code add assignments and reports, but they are not required to play.
